Terms of sale

Choose a size, then delivery or collection, then a day, and pay on the Square card page. Once the payment succeeds, the contract is made and we email a confirmation.

Placing and paying for an order commits it. At that point we book turf from the field for your date and set aside your delivery or collection day (that's the day, not a set time). Other customers may be turned away for that day because of it, so double-check the size, postcode, address and day before paying.

Each roll covers roughly 1 m². What a roll costs depends on how many rolls are in the order, using the bands on our order form. A delivery charge is added for your postcode; collected orders have no delivery charge.

Square takes the full payment at checkout. Card numbers go to Square, not to us.

Order by 2pm the working day before your delivery or collection at the latest, but please order as far in advance as you can to avoid disappointment. On occasion, later ordering may be possible where a date shows as available.

Because turf is a perishable product cut for your date, orders can't be cancelled once paid, and the usual 14-day cancellation period for online purchases doesn't apply.

Plans changed? Get in touch through our contact form quoting your order reference, and we'll do what we reasonably can. A change of mind doesn't qualify for a refund. More detail is in changes and refunds.

We deliver to your property or the closest suitable and accessible point. We'll always leave your turf in the most convenient place we reasonably can, where it's possible and safe. On occasion we may not be able to leave it exactly where you'd prefer. We don't carry rolls inside homes or garages, down side passages or into rear gardens, and no one needs to be in.

Give us correct parking and access information on the order. Should unexpected access problems stop the delivery, we'll talk to you about the options, and any added cost is explained to you first.

Collections are from our point near Newcastle Airport on weekdays, and only with an order. You'll receive the address and directions in your confirmation.

Come on the day you booked, in a vehicle able to carry the load, and secure it properly. Turf can't be held over to another day, so the changing or cancelling section applies if it isn't collected.

Every order is counted to the number of rolls you've paid for. Please do your own count too.

Turf is alive. Roll measurements are approximate, and the colour and texture change with the time of year and the weather. Lay it the day it arrives; how it roots depends on preparation, watering and aftercare.

Severe weather, frozen or flooded fields or a breakdown can stop us cutting or delivering on your day. If that happens, we'll get in touch to agree a new day.

None of this affects your statutory rights.

These terms may be updated from time to time; whichever version was online when you paid covers your order. The law of England and Wales applies.
